Cornerstone Christian Church exists
to glorify God by leading people into a personal relationship
with Jesus Christ, challenging them to grow in Christ-likeness,
and equipping them for the work of the ministry.
As a body of believers our primary purpose is to “know” God
and to allow His eternal purpose to be fulfilled in us.
Our desire is to be conformed
to the image of Jesus Christ (Romans 8:28-29).
It is our belief that as we come “to the knowledge of the Son of God,
to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ” (Ephesians
4:13), that we, the body, (not just clergy) should go out and win the
lost.
Cornerstone is a place where you are sent
out, empowered by the Holy Spirit, and equipped to do the
work of the ministry (Ephesians 4:12).
Our emphasis in equipping you, the believer, includes but
is not limited to:
- A personal relationship with God through
Jesus Christ
- Worship (personal & corporate)
- Bible knowledge and application
- Personal character
- Family life (marriage, child-rearing,
etc.)
- Financial stewardship
- Spiritual ministry
- The Gifts of the Spirit
- Healing ministry
- Marketplace ministry
According to I Corinthians 3:16 the church is not
a physical building; the church is the body of Christ. We are the church. Therefore,
we believe the greatest ministry takes place outside the four walls of the
church building. At Cornerstone we put great emphasis on missions, both local
and foreign, and have sent literally hundreds of thousands of dollars to missionary
works all over the world. Cornerstone also sends mission groups from our church
on short-term trips to various locations across the planet.
At Cornerstone we strive for unity: unity
among ourselves, among other churches, and among races. It
is our desire to see complete racial reconciliation and healing
brought to the body of Christ and the world. Cornerstone
is a house of many nations, and we desire to be a body of
believers that reflects the diversity of Christ and His creation.
